Education. Paige believes every child deserves quality education. She knows that fully funded schools and properly paid teachers create a better learning environment for children and contributes to a respectful and healthy work environment for staff. As State Representative, Paige will fight for quality education for rural Oregonians, and she will do so with educators on the frontlines consulted on the reform our public education system needs to keep our teachers feeling valued and fulfilled. She will prioritize the recruitment and retention of excellent educators by proposing free license renewals and work to secure meaningful pay differentials for teachers working in rural schools.
Through advocacy and policy, Paige will fight for a behavioral health specialist in every school and a nurse practitioner in every highschool so our children have access to regular, free physical and mental healthcare on campus.
And because education continues after high school, Paige will work with legislators across the state to expand state funding and programs to support student tuition costs in vocational and trade schools.
