Constitutional Protections. Paige believes in protecting individual freedoms. She respects our symbols of freedom and holds strong values while maintaining a belief in protecting protest and free speech.
Paige also takes a strong stance on the Second Amendment. Paige is a gun owner. After a personal experience with unsafe gun handling of another adult around children, as well as experience with how the presence of firearms can threaten domestic abuse victims, Paige understands how critical safe, responsible ownership is. She advocates for education about safe firearm ownership, including proper storage and security procedures, especially when children are present in the home.
Paige also believes the government should respect bodily autonomy and should only assert authority in medical choices in extreme circumstances. This means Paige defends women’s power over their reproductive health and parent’s authority over their children’s care. While Paige knows the critical importance of medical issues like vaccinations, she believes that the first step in any goal is to provide information through robust outreach campaigns and community education rather than jumping to mandating action.
